    Baby back ribs - from the upper portion of the rib cage - shorter bones and leaner meat

    Spare ribs - from the lower portion of the rib cage - fattier for juicy meat

    Country style ribs - from the front-upper portion of the rib cage - meatier with a larger meat-to-bone ratio
